We know that cost is at the forefront of everyone’s thinking when embarking on a construction project, which is why we like to be as open as possible about our fees and the other potential costs you may have to consider.
We do our best to categorise project types to provide a starting fee, which can be found on our Architectural Design Services page. However, every project is unique and as such our fee proposals are calculated to accommodate the scale, nature and complexity of each individual project brief, which is provided following our initial free consultation.
Our fee structure can vary between fixed sums, percentage costs or hourly rates depending on the nature of the project. We also stage our fees providing a detailed explanation of what you can expect from each stage of work giving you confidence in exactly what you are paying for.
Furthermore, we indicate what our fee does not include, which is vitally important for you to understand at the outset of a project to enable you to properly budget for all of the work.
Throughout your project it’s likely that you will require some form of application and in most cases numerous applications. Whilst our services include to prepare, submit and administer these applications, our fee does not include the cost of the application fee payable to the relevant governing authority.
Some examples might include: Planning Applications, Building Control Applications, Drainage Applications, Party Wall Applications, Advertisement Consent Applications, Environmental Consent Applications, amongst others.
It’s also likely that as your project develops, particularly to a more technical design stage and during on site construction, that other consultants expertise are required to design and manage elements of your build.
The quantity of additional expertise required largely depends on the scale and complexity of your project. We will always do our best to inform you in advance if we foresee the requirement for any additional expertise to assist with your budgeting.
Examples of additional consultants may include but are not limited to: Structural Engineer, Civil Engineer, Drainage Surveyor, Mechanical Engineering Consultant, Fire Consultant, Acoustic Consultant, Project Manager, Health and Safety Consultant (CDM Coordinator), Highways Consultant, Tree Specialist, Land Specialist.
